Every week I like to highlight a resource that I feel will add value to your life at work and improve your professional performance. This week I'd like to share a great blog carnival that features an incredible collection of great leadership bloggers.
The Resource: The Carnival of Leadership Development
What it is: The Leadership Development Carnival is a 'blog carnival" that features a diverse collection of blog posts submitted by their authors to the host of the carnival who then makes sense of the chaos by organizing the posts in a way that is meaningful to those who visit the carnival.
This carnival is an exciting event that features articles from some of the industry's best bloggers on topics such as employee coaching, executive development, succession planning, managing high potentials, and other best practices for developing the leaders of tomorrow.
The Leadership Development Carnival was started in the summer of 2008 by one of my favorite bloggers - Dan McCarthy. It comes to town at the beginning of every month and has recently hit the road where it now rotates between Dan's blog and a guests host's blog.
Why You Should Check it Out: Since its inception the carnival has grown steadily and become a trusted source for commentary from leadership bloggers from around the globe. I am thankful that the carnival is typically released on a Saturday or Sunday so I can block off enough time to browse through all the great posts there are to read.
If you are committed to becoming a better leader or better developing those with demonstrated leadership potential, you have got to check out this blog carnival. There are dozens of great articles to engage with and I personally always leave having found at least a couple of new bloggers I want to follow regularly.
